As the name suggests, it was mainly a festival of famous guitarists, and 27 guitarists shared the stage over four days from October 15th to 19th, 1991. Five 90 minute concert programs and a one hour documentary program were produced from the event, which were broadcast live in 45 countries and recorded in 105 countries around the world.
