Fastens with original brass hooks and eyes to rear  which are secure but a little fiddly to open - you can see why a maid was required

Waist approx 27”

and the contrasting ribbon trim is an off white velvet

vintage 1930s brown and cream Art Deco day dress with strong shoulders late Victorian bodice Small hole in between 3/4Mid to late 1930s printed rayon day dress with strong shoulders! Fitted day dress, with typical period styling. Exaggerated pointed sleeve head detail, with wide upper sleeve leading down into narrow buttoned cuff. Pointed collar worn to back (according to darts!), back placket access with non working buttons which continue down to waist seam. Side opening with metal snaps to fasten. Belt loops missing belt I have very quickly knocked up a grosgrain
